DECEMBER 15, 2011 --  FIXED MORTGAGE RATES DROP TO RECORD LOWS!!!

The average rate on the 30-year fixed mortgage fell back down to 3.94%,  the lowest rate ever, according to data from the National Bureau of Economic Research.
